Saniderm Aftercare
- Saniderm is a breathable water-resistant bandage.
- This bandage will remain on your body for four days.
- After the four days, remove the bandage while running under warm water.
- Do not remove this bandage unless leakage occurs and fluid escapes, making the area unsterile.
- The tattoo will appear murky beneath the bandage. This is nothing to be concerned about and is part of your body’s natural healing process.
- During the four days this bandage is on your body, take the following precautions:
- Do not sweat excessively.
- Do not submerge the bandage in water.
- Do not take an excessively hot shower.
- Do not go into a sauna.
- Do not scratch or poke at the bandage.

Traditional Aftercare
This process is three weeks long.
- The day after your tattoo, remove your bandage. Do not re-bandage it again (your tattoo needs to breathe).
- Using your hands, gently wash your tattoo four times a day with a non-scented liquid dial soap. Do not use a washcloth or scrubber.
- After washing your tattoo, apply a thin coat of ointment (e.g. Hustle Butter) just enough to make the tattoo shiny.
- After three days, your tattoo will form a scab. Do not pick or scratch the scab as this can remove the tattoo from your body. Allow the scab to fall off naturally when it’s ready. Remember your tattoo is an open wound.
During the healing process, do NOT:
- Go to the gym for a week.
- Sweat excessively for three weeks.
- Go swimming for three weeks.
- Submerge the tattoo in water for three weeks.
- Go into a sauna or hot tub for three weeks.
- Scratch your tattoo for three weeks.
- Allow animals or children to scratch your tattoo for three weeks.
- Expose the tattoo to the sun for three weeks.
- Wear anything that irritates, scratches, rubs, or suffocates the tattoo until the scab falls off.
After the tattoo is healed, use sunblock, limit sun exposure, and always moisturize the area.
